Koichi Masuda is the Founder and CEO of Liberty Fusion, a Santa Fe-based spin-out of Los Alamos National Laboratory. Building on the foundation of the ARPA-E backed PLX program, he is currently focused on the near-term commercialization of Plasma-Jet Driven Magneto-Inertial Fusion (PJMIF) as well as conducting fusion gain calculations using validated simulation codes. An alumnus of UW-Madison, Masuda drives the strategic vision to transition fusion technology from the lab to the marketplace, aiming to deliver a cost-competitive clean energy solution.
