Dr. Tsuneto is Deputy Director-General for Science, Technology and Innovation Policy at the Cabinet Office of Japan. He holds a Doctor of Science in Electrochemistry from Tokyo Institute of Technology and a Master of Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley. With over 20 years of experience at METI, he has led diverse initiatives in many policy fields, such as electricity market design, space policy, and chemical regulation. Prior to his current position, he served as Vice-President of AIST and Director at the National Space Policy Secretariat, making him a leading expert in science and technology policy.
