Professor Rob Buckingham, OBE, is Special Advisor to the UKAEA’s CEO on Robotics & AI and is exploring opportunities of how to use robotics and AI to help deliver the UK’s ambitions in fission and fusion. This will, in turn, help to shape this important aspect of the UKAEA’s continued development. Previously, Professor Buckingham was an Executive Director of the UKAEA, holding responsibility for RACE, RAICo and the JET Decommissioning programme.
