Amanda runs the Materials Division, the UKAEA core research grant programme, and LIBRTI (~£220m Programme to deliver engineering scale tritium breeder capability to support the fusion powerplant industry.) She is currently negotiating materials infrastructure / research bids covering superconducting magnets, proton beamlines, tungsten irradiations, new nuclear data. Amanda has a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering and has spent a career creating facilities and service divisions to support heavy industry.
