Dr. Colleen Nehl is the program manager for Public-Private Partnerships in the Office of Fusion Energy Sciences (FES), part of the US Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science. As program manager for the Milestone-Based Fusion Development Program, she negotiates milestones and coordinates with national lab leaders and other experts for review of each milestone. She also manages the Innovation Network for Fusion Energy (INFUSE) program.

Prior to joining FES, Dr. Nehl worked for Booz Allen Hamilton, where she supported the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) and helped launch the first three ARPA-E fusion programs (ALPHA, BETHE, GAMOW), among others. Dr. Nehl received her Ph.D. in Physics from Rice University and her BS in Physics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
