Koki Yakushiji is responsible for fusion-related business development at MITSUI & CO., LTD.
Since joining Mitsui in 2017, he has gained extensive experience in business development and trading in the energy sector. He is also currently seconded to the Fusion Energy Team at the Cabinet Office of the Government of Japan, where he contributes to the advancement of Japan’s fusion energy policy and the development of its emerging fusion industry.
Koki holds a master’s degree in engineering from Osaka University, where he focused on plasma-facing materials, including F82H, for fusion reactor blankets.
By combining business expertise, technical insight, and policy experience, he is helping accelerate Mitsui’s fusion journey and strengthen collaboration across the public and private sectors.
