Mark has extensive insurance underwriting and broking experience, predominantly in Lloyd’s as well as insurance advisory experience in the wider energy sector.

Before joining Northcourt in 2021, Mark worked at both underwriting and broking entities covering the nuclear fission and wider energy sectors, including a 13 year post as managing director of the UK’s nuclear insurance pool.

Mark also was a founding director of the Lloyd’s ventures in Japan and China.

In 2020 Mark completed an in-depth study for the European Commission on the insurance, private and financial markets in the field of nuclear third-party liability.

Mark has also been an expert representative of the international nuclear insurance industry at the Nuclear Law Committee of the OECD’s Nuclear Energy Agency and has been a lecturer at the OECD’s International School of Nuclear Law since 2004.
