Gaetano Crupi is a Managing Director & Partner at USIT fund. Gaetano sits on the boards of Lambda Labs, Oxide Computer, Shield AI, Gecko Robotics and Altana. He is a board observer for Colossal Biosciences.
Prior to joining US IT, Gaetano was a General Partner at Prime Movers Lab, an early-stage deep tech VC firm with $1.25B AUM. Gaetano invested in Seed through Series C breakthrough scientific companies in manufacturing, infrastructure, future of compute, human augmentation, and agriculture. Gaetano’s board roles and investments at PML included Gilgamesh Pharmaceuticals and Atom Computing.
Before becoming an investor, Gaetano was a 3-time entrepreneur over the course of 15 years. His last enterprise, Cabin Technologies (backed by Founders Fund, Floodgate, Prime Movers Lab, Zhen Fund, FJ Labs), was a tech-enabled long-distance mobility company solving the $200b intercity travel market. Gaetano was the COO of Betable Technologies before founding Cabin. Betable (backed by Founders Fund, Greylock, True Ventures, Bullpen Capital) was the world’s first fintech / game-engine platform powering real-currency play in apps across any platform or device. Gaetano’s first company, Machina, specialized in logistically complex and bold commercial productions with a core focus was on web series, music videos and commercials during the transition to digitally consumed content.
Gaetano began his career at Goldman Sachs, first in the LATAM Investment Banking team and later in the Consumer Retail Investment Banking team.
Gaetano attended the Stanford Graduate School of Business and received his Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of Business and his Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania.
Gaetano was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil and lived in Brazil, Canada, Venezuela, and Spain before settling down permanently in the United States.
