Myles is an innovative engineering and strategic partnerships leader with a decade of experience advancing fusion energy technology and building global collaborations. Currently serving as Director of Strategic Partnerships at General Fusion, he is driving alliances with research institutions, universities, national laboratories, governments, as well as leading the Market Development Advisory Committee.
He has progressed through increasingly senior roles at General Fusion, combining deep technical expertise with program and partnership management. As Program Manager, he successfully executed technology contracts and managed collaborations with premier organizations including UKAEA, TRIUMF, CNL, LLNL, ORNL, PPPL, and SRNL. As Lead Engineer for Neutron Diagnostics, he designed and deployed first-of-a-kind diagnostic systems for Magnetized Target Fusion prototypes, leveraging advanced Monte Carlo simulations and deep learning algorithms. In his earlier role as Engineering Physicist he worked on the company’s multi-year Plasma Compression Science campaign that produced key peer-reviewed fusion results while he honed skills in plasma diagnostics, Bayesian modeling, and ultra-fast compression technologies.
Myles holds an M.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University, where he conducted research in the Shock Wave Physics Group.
