Nick Sharpe is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Modini, one of the UK’s leading independent developers and manufacturers of autonomous airborne systems and defence sub-systems. A Mechanical Engineer, UAS specialist and former British Army helicopter pilot, Nick founded Modini in 2016 and has grown the business organically to a £10m turnover without external investment. Under Nick’s leadership, Modini has evolved from a specialist consultancy into a sovereign defence technology company, developing advanced autonomous capabilities including the DART 250 long-range uncrewed system. Nick is passionate about accelerating defence innovation and strengthening the UK’s sovereign industrial capability through the rapid commercialisation of emerging technologies.
