Dr. Lutz Aschke is Director Laser Strategy at Marvel Fusion, the Munich-based deep-tech venture pioneering laser-driven inertial confinement fusion. He holds a PhD in physics from Ruhr-Universität Bochum with a focus on laser plasma interaction and brings over 25 years of leadership experience across the photonics and laser industry — including roles as CTO of LIMO, CFO of TRUMPF Laser Technology, and Managing Director of TRUMPF Photonic Components. He serves on the supervisory boards of TecInvest Holding AG and Light Conversion, and has been President of Photonics21, the European photonics publicprivate partnership with the EU Commission, since 2022. Lutz is also a Senior Advisor specializing in M&A and technology strategy for deep-tech ventures.
