Karoliina Salminen has two decades of experience at the intersection of research and business, specializing in R&D projects that bring together diverse stakeholders across industries. Her recent work has focused on autonomous industry and the transformation of industrial work. She began her career developing ITER divertor remote maintenance operations at a full-scale test facility in Finland. Now, she has returned to the fusion field as the EUROfusion Remote Maintenance Project Leader, overseeing ten research units and multiple laboratories across Europe to drive innovation in remote maintenance technologies for future fusion devices.
