Dr. Naomi Mburu is Lead Analyst at Fusion Advisory Services, providing analysis of the fusion industry for governments, investors, and various companies. She earned her DPhil in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar, researching liquid metal plasma-facing components for fusion. During her DPhil, she worked at Tokamak Energy, assisting in their successful DOE Milestone Based Fusion Development Program proposal.
Curious about the interdisciplinary nature of engineering, Naomi completed internships at Intel developing should-cost models for certain processes, and at CERN characterizing various gas mixtures used on muon detectors on the Large Hadron Collider while completing her BSc in Chemical Engineering at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Passionate about education and community engagement, she has taught fusion courses in the UK and Saudi Arabia, organized over 12 conferences for AFBE-UK and NSBE, and serves on the education committee for the Nuclear Society of Kenya.
