Andrea Augieri is a physicist and former researcher at ENEA’s Superconductivity Laboratory, where he
worked from 2009 to 2024 on High-Temperature Superconducting (HTS) tapes. His research covered
REBCO layer engineering, artificial pinning centers, buffer architectures, and superconducting cables. He
has served as Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity since 2018 and is a
member of the International Electrotechnical Committee and the European Society for Applied
Superconductivity Board. In 2024, he co-founded Suprema, an ENEA spin-off focused on the scalable
production of HTS tapes, where he now leads as CEO, driving innovation from the lab to industrial-scale
impact.
