Jacqueline (Jax) Kirtley is an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research uses multi-year longitudinal field studies to examine how early stage entrepreneurial firms developing hard-science and technology innovations evolve their strategies and technology products. She is the co-organizer of the Wharton Technology and Innovation Conference and a recipient of the Kauffman Dissertation Fellowship and several Mack Institute Research Fellowships. Her work has been published in the Strategic Management Journal and MIT Sloan Management Review. Jax received her PhD and MBA, from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business and earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Ocean Engineering from MIT.
