Scott is an experienced physicist and engineer specialising in fusion power. He is the Fusion Technology Lead in the Advanced Fission and Fusion Team.

A Physicist by background, he specialises in developing novel technologies and demonstrating their feasibility. This involves the full lifecycle of technology development, spanning from first principle feasibility studies, concept design development, test rig scaling, and proof of concept prototyping. Scott works across the fusion power lifecycle to support the delivery of viable and commercially attractive fusion in our lifetimes.

Scott is core to the creation and delivery of the ‘Fusion 101’ training course, utilising Frazer-Nash’s deep fusion knowledge to upskill the industry. As well as introducing early-career resource into the fusion industry, this also aims at allowing experienced engineers in related industries to apply their skills into current fusion challenges, accelerating the growth of the new fusion power supply chain.
