Devika Thapar is co-founder and GP of Wilbe, the venture firm built for scientists and engineers turning moonshots into generational companies. Wilbe provides scientists with the tools, community and capital to move from idea to company in record time. To date, Wilbe has trained more than 1,400 scientists from institutions including MIT, Oxford, Cambridge, and Max Planck, backed 22 companies on day zero, and helped create over $1.3 billion in value worldwide. Wilbe Founders are making fusion energy commercially viable (Proxima Fusion) to reversing age related infertility (U-Ploid Bio).

Before Wilbe, Devika was Head of New Products at IBM Watson in New York and earlier led spinout evaluation at Yale University’s Office of Technology Transfer. She began her career in management consulting with Accenture India. Devika sits on the board of travel company Collette (MA) and formerly on the board of STEM from Dance (NY). Devika holds an MBA from Yale University and a BA in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, India.
