Omar Biabani has served as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Focused Energy since November 2025. He brings more than two decades of experience architecting, scaling, and commercializing complex hardware, physics, laser and software systems across advanced manufacturing and precision engineering domains. As CTO, he leads the company’s technology roadmap, ensuring that all engineering, physics, and product functions align toward delivering commercially viable fusion energy at an extreme pace.

His background spans leadership roles at ASML, the world's largest supplier of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, and the U.S. manufacturer of test systems for microprocessors Teradyne, where he directed large, multidisciplinary teams responsible for mission-critical platforms operating at nanometer precision and industrial scale. His expertise in systems engineering, highly reliable automation, precision motion and control, as well as semiconductor-level quality enables him to drive the development of Focused Energy‘s next-generation technologies. His work is guided by a strong focus on real-world manufacturability.
