Jonathan is Programme Lead for the First Light Fusion’s FLARE Inertial Fusion Energy concept and also oversees their collaborations with UK/US national laboratories. He served as Principal Investigator for FLF’s recent Z Machine campaigns under the Z Fundamental Science programme. An experienced experimentalist, Jonathan has worked extensively on high-energy-density physics facilities. He completed his PhD in Plasma Physics at Imperial College London before joining AWE, where he acted as PI/RI on experiments at the NIF, OMEGA, and Orion laser facilities.
