Faris Fakhry is an investor at Lowercarbon Capital, where he supports the fund's fusion strategy, joining in early 2026. Previously, he worked with the Office of Eric Schmidt on fusion supply chain development and financing, supported early-stage venture funds in the diligence and evaluation of fusion and fission investments, and chaired MIT's Nuclear Fuel Cycle Working Group, a consortium bringing together private industry, national laboratories, and academia to advance Gen-IV nuclear technologies. Faris is completing a combined BS/MS in Nuclear Science and Engineering at MIT, where his research focuses on building machine learning surrogates to accelerate large-scale radiation transport and multiphysics simulations for reactor design applications.
