Ale Maiano is co-founder and GP of Wilbe, built for scientists and engineers turning moonshots into generational companies. In 5 years, Wilbe has trained more than 1,400 researchers from institutions including MIT, University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, and the Max Planck Society; launched 23 companies; and, through its funds, contributed to over $1.3B in value creation. Wilbe founders all started as researchers committed to commercialising their know-how across all fields, from fusion energy (Proxima Fusion) to reversing age-related infertility (U‑Ploid Bio).

Trained as a corporate attorney, Ale built Wilbe to equip scientists with the community, tools, capital, and lab space needed to go from idea to company at unprecedented speed. Today, he focuses on running the weekly cohorts and preparing selected founders for fundraising.
