Fusion for Energy (F4E) – based in Barcelona, Spain, is the European Union’s joint undertaking tasked with delivering Europe’s contribution to the ITER fusion project and preparing for the DEMO fusion power plant. F4E manages design, procurement, fabrication, and quality assurance of components and systems provided by the EU for ITER, and supports coordinated research and development activities across the European fusion programme.

F4E works with industry, research organisations, and laboratories across Europe to secure supply chains, advance fusion technology readiness, and build capabilities needed for ITER operations and subsequent commercial fusion developments.
