Ashwin Nandapurkar is Co-Founder of Liberty Fusion, a Santa Fe–based spin-out of Los Alamos National Laboratory commercializing Plasma-Jet Driven Magneto-Inertial Fusion (PJMIF). He leads the company's India strategy, spanning government and institutional partnerships and the pathway to siting one of the world's first commercial fusion power plants in India. Previously India CEO of EX-Fusion, one of Japan's leading laser-fusion startups, he built the company's India operations and led development of autonomous control systems for fusion power plants. Nandapurkar is active in India's fusion-policy development, engaging the Department of Atomic Energy, NITI Aayog, and the Ministry of Power on the institutional framework for fusion energy. He holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Hyderabad.
