Shaurya leads the development of the tokamak programme and the company's efforts to build practical fusion energy technology. He holds a PhD in Computational Physics from the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), DST. His work focuses on kinetic theory, plasma physics, filuid dynamics, heat transfer and high- performance computing. He also holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from BITS Pilani.
