Sandeep Mann helps build the partnerships a fusion power plant needs before the plant exists. As Strategic Partnerships Manager at Focused Energy, he leads the company’s partnership activities across Asia while supporting its teams in the United States and Europe. Focused Energy is the only fusion company whose laser fusion approach has achieved a proven net energy gain to date. Sandeep’s work covers the three relationships a first-of-a-kind plant depends on: supply chain collaborations for reactor components, lasers and optics; early offtake and power purchase agreement discussions with utilities, industrials and data center buyers; and investors and public partners prepared to back first-of-a-kind energy infrastructure.

Working across Asia, North America, Europe and the Middle East means navigating very different market designs, procurement cultures, subsidy regimes and export control rules — and being honest with partners about where fusion is today versus where it needs to be.

Sandeep began his career in high-end hospitality in New Zealand before moving into energy and engineering recruitment in Singapore, working with major EPCs, OEMs and oil companies across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, South Korea and Japan. He later relocated to Germany, where he helped scale technology companies, before joining Focused Energy
