Dr. Jong-Seok OH is the Deputy Director General of ITER Korea at the Korea Institute of Fusion Energy (KFE). He holds a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from Seoul National University and brings over 30 years of expertise in fusion energy systems, superconducting magnet power supplies, and accelerator technologies. At KFE, he led the design, development, and commissioning of ITER AC/DC converters for superconducting magnets from 2008 to 2024. His earlier work at the Pohang Accelerator Laboratory and collaborations with RIKEN and KEK focused on high-power modulators and advanced RF systems. He has also contributed to renewable energy innovation, including wind turbine power electronics and industrial high-power modulators.
