Drawing from an interdisciplinary background of experience that includes spectroscopy, microwave engineering, software development, and bioenergetics, Alexander has led and collaborated on many research projects at Alpha Ring’s worldwide laboratories, and is currently responsible for the development of materials and resources needed to facilitate commercial and educational applications of Alpha Ring products.

Before joining Alpha Ring in 2019, Alexander was an instructor at several colleges in northern California, including Sacramento State University. He also performed electromagnetic and particle beam simulations for the design of advanced instrumentation for industrial microwave amplifiers, and for the development of a small electron paramagnetic resonance spectrometer intended for student use in teaching laboratories.

Alexander received a B.S. in Chemistry with a Physics minor from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of California, Davis, studying magnetic resonance spectroscopy of metals and radicals in proteins related to the energy conversion processes in photosynthesis.
