Greg Baker is an Executive Partner at Alumni Ventures and founder of AV's Wisconsin-based fund, Bascom Ventures. Since joining AV in 2017, he has completed over 100 venture investments spanning healthcare, aerospace, manufacturing, and technology sectors. His notable portfolio companies include Axiom Space (commercial space station developer), American Gene Technologies (gene therapy), SHINE (nuclear fusion), Mission Bio (precision medicine), and Juvena Therapeutics (longevity therapeutics).

Prior to venture capital, Greg was a seasoned executive with extensive experience in corporate leadership, business development, M&A, and strategic planning across the electrical products, packaging, and chemical industries. His operational background provides valuable insights when evaluating early-stage companies and supporting portfolio company growth.

Greg earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin ('86) and MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business ('91).
