About us

Our mission is to connect capital with opportunity, driving the commercialization and growth of fusion energy.

Through our news and data platform and the highly respected FusionXInvest conference series, we aim to educate the full spectrum of the global investment community on the entire fusion energy ecosystem. From private equity and venture capital firms to specialist tech and climate funds, mainstream GPs, and a broad range of strategic investors, FusionX bridges the gap between investors and fusion companies, their technologies, and supply chains.

FusionX Group has run investor conferences in London, in Boston in collaboration with MIT,  in Tokyo, and imminently in Silicon Valley in collaboration with Stanford University and SLAC.

The UK Atomic Energy Authority’s mission is to lead the delivery of sustainable fusion energy and maximise the resulting scientific and economic benefits. The five interconnected strategic goals are to solve challenges to sustainable fusion energy - from design through to decommissioning enabling partners to design, deliver, and operate commercial fusion power plans while creating clusters that accelerate innovation in fusion and related technologies.

UKAEA has hosted the Joint European Torus facility at Culham since its design started in 1973 while the MAST Upgrade facility, also based at Culham, is leading the world in research into compact fusion devices. UKAEA is now designing STEP, a UK fusion power station with the ultimate aim of producing net electricity from fusion around 2040.

UKAEA facilities linked to fusion research include MRF for micro-characterisation of materials; RACE conducting R&D and commercial activities in robotics and autonomous systems; H3AT which is focused on fuel technology for fusion power.
