Connecting fusion innovation and investors
UKAEA, Culham Campus, Oxfordshire
September 16th 2026
In partnership with
Innovations, curated 1:1 meetings, & exclusive access
Fusion is already generating profits from non-power applications of technology and is generating early-stage innovations with commercial applications in fusion and a wide range of high-growth sectors.
FusionXInnovation will be a diverse day, built around an innovation showcase of early stage or pre-commercial opportunities. connecting the full spectrum of fusion-related investment opportunities to existing and potential investors, funders, partners and customers.
Who will be there

Investors
Climate-tech, deep-tech, VC, PE, institutionals, and strategics evaluating fusion and the opportunities it is catalysing across multiple segments

Innovators
Founders and executives, from pre-seed to C-suite, driving fusion and its adjacent sectors

Supply Chain

Innovator Showcase & Networking
An open showcase where participants can move between company stands, engage directly with innovators, and explore early-stage startups and future commercial opportunities across fusion and related technologies. Some of the exhibitors include:
- Astut is pioneering a new category of reasoning-based “Explorative AI” for highstakes decisions where there is no precedent, no dataset and no obvious path forward. Its platform generates novel, transparent and defensible decision options grounded in real-world constraints.
- C3 Systems is using novel semiconducting materials to build the next generation of radiation-hardened electronic end-to-end systems for extreme environments encountered in fission, fusion and space.
- Digital twin software for fusion components, from University of York, is aimed at extending the operational lifetime of high-risk, high-value components in fusion power plants (starting with divertors). The approach uses sensor data, AI, and physicsbased modelling to support predictive maintenance and better component management under extreme conditions.
- Fusion Energy Partners delivers trusted technical expertise to investors, fusion technology developers, and supply chain organizations navigating strategic opportunities in the rapidly evolving fusion energy market.
- MuWave, a high-power microwave engineering and technology company developing low-cost, high-end next generation microwave technologies for fusion, geothermal and other emerging markets. MuWave is approaching it's Seed round to develop the second product line of high power gyrotrons using proprietary solutions.
- Singular Machines is transforming how complex engineering gets done. Its platform, coEngen, uses frontier AI to design complex machinery, facilities and infrastructure end to end, compressing work that once took large teams months into days while raising quality and traceability.
- Simvue from UKAEA is an AI-powered platform that transforms complex data and simulations into AI-ready and reproducible data, helping organisations accelerate operations, reduce computational costs, and make better decisions. Simvue is currently seeking Seed investment to accelerate commercial growth, expand AI capabilities, and scale adoption across engineering, science, energy, finance and other high-performance computing sectors.
- StandardX is building the world's first isotope refinery for credible commercial supply: a single accelerator platform producing the full isotope portfolio from one machine, starting with medical radioisotopes that today's cancer care and next-generation therapeutics depend on. The same platform, at higher energy and greater scale, can supply tritium as the fusion industry scales towards deployment.
- TuNED for Medical Isotopes is a UKAEA-developed beam converter, that transforms compact accelerators into precision neutron sources with tailored neutron fields. This could help relieve bottlenecks around medical isotope production from fission reactors, to strengthen industrial resilience and improve human health.
Alongside the main programme, companies, investors and strategic partners will have the opportunity to connect and explore investment and collaboration opportunities. Dedicated rooms will be available for private 1:1 meetings, providing the ideal setting for deeper conversations and valuable new connections.
